Classic Style Inspiration
my favorite style films I keep coming back to
My favorite way to drum up inspiration when I'm feeling bored is through film. I’m a huge movie buff and feel truly transported when I watch films. I could literally watch movies all day long. It’s definitely in my top 3 things to do. I LOVE a period piece or something that has a strong style point of view in terms of wardrobe, scenery, location, interiors, etc. I think this is because one of my favorite things about getting dressed is actually living in your clothes. Movies show people doing that more than an editorial or a still shot online. Lately, I’m only interested in clothes that look good while living your life.
I’m a classic style girl. I gravitate towards tailored, feminine, and minimal. Most of these suggestions are going to be along those lines. The movies listed here are for inspiring you in your everyday lives, which is different from fashion films. I love those too and will list them below as well, but while those films inspire me to get creative they don’t give me tangible real-life style ideas.
My list is quite long, so I’m going to split them up into categories. I hope it’s helpful when you need a boost of inspiration and you can scroll through and pick based on your needs. I would love to put together a list of TV shows too because there are so many gems of inspiration too. I would love to know what your favorite style movies are, the ones you go back to time and time again.
